Week Two: Colour, texture, pattern

Following the mood board we wanted to further our library of colour, texture, pattern. Now that we had done some work into design and had further discussions of our topic in class, we thought it would be helpful to make a collection of colours, textures and patterns that relate to our subject. This way, when designing we can refer back to this post, where we can then take some of these and implement them into our work to create more detail, interest or depth in our designs. 

Firstly we looked into creating a brief word list that involves words that relate to the beach and cleaning. The words were very random, basically first things that came to mind. From here we then chose some of the words and created patterns out of them. 

From here we looked at already digitally rendered texture that related to the topic.

Nextwe them found some texture that related to the beach, where we then extracted the colours from them to create a bit of a colour palette.

This advanced us in our project by enabling us to create a library of colours, texture and patterns, so when designing we can refer back to here to aid us in our design.
